Mission Statement

The purpose of the Harvard-Radcliffe Women's Leadership Project is to foster the effective leadership of a diverse group of women. The Project aims to impact both individuals and organizations at various developmental stages in order to nurture meaningful experiences on campus and beyond. The Project is committed to the following services for women: participating in the personal and professional development of women, providing opportunities and access to critical resources, strengthening the network of supportive and positive role models, and encouraging open discussion about the complex issues and difficult choices that many women face.
Women's Leadership Conference

For twenty years, the Women's Leadership Conference has been the flagship program of the Women's Leadership Project.

Each year, the week-long Conference brings a dynamic group of approximately 35 undergraduate leaders at Harvard together with successful women leaders in a variety of professional spheres including: academia, art, business, government, health/sciences, media, and public service. Together they undertake an inter-generational dialogue about some of the complex issues many women face and honest conversation about some of the challenges that may lie ahead. In addition, the undergraduate participants share in a wide-range of interactive workshops and discussions ranging from the practical to the personal.

Through careful planning of the student-run Executive Board and generous support from each of Project's institutional sponsors, the Conference is free of cost for the 35 participants selected to attend each year. While, the program evolves every year, it regularly creates enduring friendships and a supportive network of peers, administrators, faculty, and prominent leaders committed to the advancement of women.

Nearly all of the participants say that the Conference was one of their most meaningful and memorable experiences at Harvard College and that it made a difference in their personal and professional lives.

The Executive Board of the Harvard-Radcliffe Women's Leadership Conference invites you to apply for the 20th annual Women's Leadership Conference, to be held September 2nd - September 7th, 2007 at Harvard University. The Conference will be held the week prior to Freshman Week and housing and food accommodations will be covered by the Conference. Applications will be due in March 2007.
